Don't blame Ashwin, He played really well!!!

10:03 PM Posted by iSachin 1 comment

Day before yesterday we saw scintillating form of REAL cricket. In a cricket crazy country, we are as always not happy with the draw test match. It was really mind boggling to see when two teams play nearly 350 Overs of cricket and still end up in tie. This happen in life also when we see something unexpected but why do we get so upset with the things which we cannot control.

Like the cricket match between India and West Indies, where two teams played the highest form of the cricket that is to offer. WI as expected had put a superb fight, as they were down and out in first two test matches. Even after lead of 100 runs in the first inning they gave up the match by collapsing in the next inning. India as usual played their best cricket in the second inning. Second match almost got ended in the first inning itself when WI collapsed in dramatic circumstances but they gave the fight in the next inning. But all that gone in vain as lead was too much to handle.

First two matches surely set the tone for third test in wankhede. We all were expecting the collapse from Carrebian cricketers, as they also did not had the services of India Harassing Shivanarayan Chanderpaul in their ranks. Contrary to the script they had put nearly 600 score on the pitch, which was seemed as dead pitch. India looked uninterested in the match result but in. Sachin did not disappointed them and almost wrote the perfect script by crossing 90 runs but rush of blood my maestro got him out.

After that Indians were on the way of WI Collapse, the just married man showed his newly wedded wife that she has married to an all-rounder and not to just an off spinner. R. Ashwin scored a surprising hundred and did not disappoint the crowd which gathered to see Sachin's Ton. He also avoided the embarrassing follow-on and gave respectability to India’s Total.

India bowlers who toiled very hard in the first inning showed that how menacing could be the 5th day pitch and wrapped the WI’s inning in 140+ score. This gave a real hope to the Indians that they could still get the clean sweep and they did state in that fashion. Everyone wanted Sachin’s batting to click but WI kept on coming with discipline line and length. India kept on loosing wickets in regular intervals and thus the hope of winning the match.

It did looked like India winning the match even after losing 8 wickets and 3 runs need of 6 balls but Aron threw few dots and Ashwin assured that India wont loose the match. The accuracy of Fidel Edwards played off and Match was tied on the last ball as Ashwin did not go for 2nd run which was never there.
On that evening even though India did not lose the match, the scenes on the ground and outside looked contrary to it. Everyone was blaming R. ashwin for the loss, but they forget about the top 7 batsmen in the Indian team. No one played the inning which was needed where Ashwin showed the courage to stick to the wicket and made sure that India do not end up on losing side.

This test match was surely will be remembered by the tie achieved on the last ball but for me it was the performance of the spinners which stood apart. After a long time, I saw the 2 spinners bowling in tandem and playing havoc in the other teams ranks. R. Ashwin truly deserved the man of the match. I am now assured that Harbhajan singh's days are over and I really want that way. I have been really frustrated by the Bhajji's third rated bowling and really want to not to see him.

Chain se sona hai to channel change karo..

7:55 PM Posted by iSachin No comments
You will ask me "What type of title is this?"  but you will soon come to know why. The common belief that there is nothing like a good disaster to get viewers back. Natural calamities, terrorist attacks or wars push up viewership of news channels. That happened in 2008 when the growth of viewership was primarily spurred by the coverage of the Mumbai terror attacks and the political crisis in India over the Indo-US nuclear deal. In 2009 and 2010, for instance, there wasn't any major event that could shake the entire nation for days or weeks except for the IPL.

In the last few years, news channels have moved from a feature-led format to solely a breaking news format, which has minimized the stickiness on the channels (evident from the drop in time spent). A senior media observer says, "Viewers come in when news breaks and move out equally fast." The fierce competition amongst the news channels to get that extra share of revenue and get ahead in the race for GRPs has led to an increase of sensationalism. The line between news and entertainment channels is increasingly getting blurred.

I want to tell a real incidence where these 3rd grade channels have spread the miss information. It was last year when there was an incident where Fearing end of world by CERN experiment, girl commits suicide in, September 2008. That girl wasn't the only person who got terrified by these news, even my parent got terrified. They informed me that all the people in my home town are just shocked to watch the same news again and again. They were doing everything to increase there viewership and spread the mis-information. They will tell you something, even create a complete show on something but will never substantiate. The normal people who don't know much about language like Hindi, will not fully understand what is going on.

Same thing happened in where there was pandemic in India especially in Pune where I used to stay. There were continuous counts of casualty of the people because of Swine Flu infection, rather than providing the right information. This went on for many days, as this was first real pan India pandemic in recent time but to cash in on it was shameless act.

Smaller, non-network channels that have their own set of audiences and advertisers tend to get into 'masala news' in search of more eyeballs. But such sensationalism also puts off viewers. News today is available all through the day and because all channels exhibits sameness, audiences are not worried of missing out on any news occurrence. This has affected appointment viewing drastically.

They seem to be lacking in innovative news programmes, which could be of interest to a larger set of TV viewing people, rather than just their core TG.  Then, how are regional channels doing better?
First, the viewers who usually watched Hindi news moved to the regional news channels because of an affinity for their mother tongue. One reason could be the biased nature of Hindi news channel, as they look after getting the TRP in the Hindi Heartland and do not focus on the real issue.  Second could as there are many states in India where the primary language preference is not Hindi or English.

As the number of regional channels continues to grow, the shift from Hindi and English to regional is a natural phenomenon. Also, localisation of news is the biggest strength of regional news channels.
Local news channels has been the strength of southern media as they exploit the current condition but at least they are not doing propaganda work which Hindi media seems to be doing. As per the little research I have done in this regard, it is the south-based channels that have led the growth in the regional space. Currently, there are 16 Telugu news channels (24-hour) in Andhra Pradesh and more are expected to be launched soon.

The reason of the Hindi news channels can be traced back to the literacy rate in that reason as many people are uneducated, these silly news sells there. In fact sometimes I don’t call them the news channel as they tend to show comedy shows more than the actual news. As they
I think the issue plaguing all of our media and entertainment today is nothing else but a lack of content. News channels today do precious little other than bringing irrelevant news, highlighting trivial information, Bollywood gossip and poorly moderated debates into our living rooms. Its high time somebody pulled the plug on this charade and brought real, researched, thought-provoking and useful news, discussion’s and investigative stories to us- something which we left behind when DD used to be the only channel and news were restricted to only 20 minutes capsules in Hindi and English each. The 24x7 mode which news channels have adopted, as pointed aptly in the story above, does nothing other than allowing unnecessary information to be beamed right through to every household. It might bring you short term revenues through advertising, but penny wise is surely bound to be pound foolish.

In a such a vast country with wide variety of issues there is a real need of new news channels, where we will see the real India and there problem. Not those English news channels who are centered around cities, Hindi News channels showing Comedy shows and Local news channels owned by politicians. I will never advocate for any regulations on the News Content of the channels but if you see some of these Hindi news channels showing rubbish news, then I would surely like to change my mind. I am really a critic of Hindi news channel, not because they are from north but they are showing something which is watched in whole of India.

Lets hope there will be positive change in the content of these channels or there will a bill from the government soon. Not sure they will be able to pass, as we know how incompetent they are but there is real need of the right content to liberate people....

I believe in Team India, Do you?

1:49 AM Posted by iSachin 5 comments
Thank god that final the misery for Team India is over. Mahendrasingh Dhoni must have had different feeling where he was on the moon for after World cup and IPL championship wins than today. He was immediately dragged on to the ground and into the dust. As Sixty per cent of his team back to the home country, he must be very eager to see his new home in Ranchi. In this blog there are references of the today which are happened in the past, but pardon me for that as this blog is in the making for last 1 month. I have almost finished it but did not publish it so…

Andrew Strauss and Mahendra Singh Dhoni
It was really good for me to be busy this week as I did not get the chance to watch the TV. Like me there were not many so fortunate and had to watch it. It’s really been the heartbreak to all Team India fans as there team performed miserably on the field. This was really the shocker of the performance as Team India did not looked like number 1 ranked team in the world. Even though there were good performances, they were never consistent. Is this really the end of the domination or is there another story to it.

I got the chance to watch it for full day and India has scored 300 score after 7-8 test matches. It’s good to see that with little bit of fight from the Wall and the tail, it reminded me the old Indian teams in the past. Whenever they visited the foreign soils, this is what India always performed there. I have seen great India collapsing in the past but somehow I or we forgot that. Once upon time India were called Tigers at home and hapless visitors, so now you know why that was.

English Press going GAGA..
English are on the moon with this performance, everyone new that India is not the number one Team in the Test cricket. Truly, they are not. They have earned that position with the good performance to the home. This was achieved with the dismal performances of the other team.  It was an open secret that India is going to struggle.
England winning test matches 4-0
I was really surprised to see the India Vs England advertisement on the TV directly challenging India. But that proved right and that only added fire to the always aggressive English Media. English team had so many bad memories against country that they ruled for so many years. They finally got the opportunity and they capitalized it. Once in their life time they have got the opportunity to be proud of their Cricket team as in the past there performances were really pathetic.

My view on this is that this is just a passing phase for English Team, they going through a purple path. It’s easy to be go to number 1 position but very difficult to stick to that position. India has learned that in a hard way and England’s time will soon come. At least India stayed there nearly 2 years. It is really a great feat if we see the Indian bowlers.

Past performance of team India in England
India always played well in England. In fact on last tour they beat English with some gritty performances by two left handers i.e. Zaheer and R. P. Singh. We actually got lucky last time when we some drawn first test match, of course with help of wrong Umpiring decision. It was 1-0 win for Indian’s but they knew how they achieved it.

Previous to that there were many good performances or I even can say that, most of our outside India wins were from England. All Indian batsmen scored tones of runs in English environment. I actually thought that our bowling was better than the English but fitness was only thing which separated two bowling sides. There were much fitter and quick than our bowlers.
Our record outside India
I have seen many worst performances of India pre Saurav ganguly captaincy. India used to lose matches to Zimbabwe that time. We had to fight it out for Test and One day with lesser ranked teams. It was infusion of some players like Sehwag, Gautam, Dhoni and Zaheer with that prime form of 5 Pandav’s cricket that propelled India to number one ranking.

Even though with the much improved performance on Team India, they record hasn’t improved outside. Wherever they have won the margin is only sing match i.e. 1-0. There hadn’t been a convincing win on the Team India’s CV. It’s true that they haven’t won convincingly and don’t have smashing record outside like Australia and South Africa has. Somewhere we forgot the old Indian performance and hence got this shock.

India with World cup 2011
Post world cup complacency
This could be related to world cup fatigue, as they have been playing relentless cricket for 5-6 months. Immediately after the world cup, they even did not get the time to soak up all the excitement. They played that 1.5 month of cricket continuously. If you have seen the actual team, most of the key players are outside the team due one or another injury.

We can give thousand reasons when we loose but Team real looked tired and uninterested in Cricket and on the other had, England team was rearing to go so this has to happen.

What are the positives?
Only positive I can make out from this is that we cannot fall below this. As this is been the worst performance in present generations mind. At least for the newer generation, I thought India didn’t played that bad but lower order Englishmen played well, especially Stuart Broad. This could be little redemption for Stuart Broad after getting depressing 6-sixes by Yuvi. One fact which I have learned from my experience and watching TV is “Make your own mistakes”. It’s sometimes good if we do it first time but it not possible every time.  On more thing that might have come out of it as we could see all the weaknesses in this Team India which will surely be helpful for building future Indian team.

At least our ODI teams played well, it’s just that they could not perform on crucial moments.  Otherwise most of the matches went to the last over of the match. As we are been the better run chaser, which we proved by winning world cup at too chasing. We could not bat once in the Twenty-twenty and ODI’s. They will surely play well in the future so this team is to watch for.
My Final view on this team
England ODI Win
India has vast reserves of players. The country line India who has 1 billion plus population it should not be hard. We have excellent one-day and T-20 Team but current Team India is not as bad as it has been made out by English Team. They have beaten Australia in Australia where not many teams can boast of that record. English team is really playing well in England but we need to watch their performance in India because ‘beating India in Indian Condition’ is the actual Test. If English Team can do that they I can accept them as number one Team.

We should not write of Team India as we have an able leader. This man has really changed the face and stature of Team India to a different level. India is now one of the most dangerous teams in the world and with Dhoni, this team will surely be one of the best team.

At least for this moment where Team India is down, we have to support our team. They have given us so much joy, now we have to tell them that ‘hey guy, we are with you’. This will surely make them feel better and boost their confidence. One should always remember that after all they arealso human beings, as we go through bad phases they also are in one. For me these bad phase come quiet often but that’s the different subject for the future.

I still see this team fighting hard and dominating in the future. Key to that will be fitness because neither we Indian are not physically fit nor we have culture of fitness. One more thing about the captaincy issue that we will be having an aggressive captain in form of Virat kohli, so that issue has been already got settled. I agree that I am seeing lot of positives from the team who just lost everything. I am an optimist and will like to be like that, I have seen this team performed lot better and surely will see that again

so I believe in Team India, do you?

गणपति बाप्पा मोर्या - आम्हा सर्वांना अक्कल दया

I have been bombarding you all with these blog but what can I do. There are so many things are happening in our lives and I have hundred opinions on each of them. Whether it is directly related to me or not, I will always have an opinion.
One thing which I haven’t mentioned in my previous blog is that I have got new Laptop, the DELL Inspiron. I am still waiting for my internet connection but this is really exciting that I am working on 3 blogs at same time. Not getting time to publish them could be the reason but it’s better than only watching TV.
LalBaugcha Raja
Today only I have seen one of the lavish and grand decoration made at home. This is the faith and dedication of the people in Lord Ganesha. We all celebrate this festival with lot of faith and eagerness but do we really know about Ganesha celebration from the past. We know about Ganeshostav that it has been started by Lokamanya Tilak but what used to happen before that.
Ganeshostav is one of the several festivals we celebrate in India. We are a chaotic society so these festivals to please our gods. How it’s been celebrated in this ancient land in the past but is this important to know it. May be not but when you learn to ask “Why?” question everywhere then one has to know so did I.  As usual I did some research in my spare time for my dear and loyal readers (ha ha ha). Following is the story about it and it’s really interesting.
Previous history of Ganeshostav
It is not known when and how Ganesh Chaturthi was first celebrated. But according to the historian Shri Rajwade, the earliest Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations can be traced back to the times of the reigns of dynasties as Satavahana, Rashtrakuta and Chalukya. Historical records reveal that Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations were initiated in Maharashtra by Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaja, the great Maratha ruler, to promote culture and nationalism. And it had continued ever since. There are also references in history to similar celebrations during Peshwa times. It is believed that Lord Ganapati was the family deity of the Peshwas. After the end of Peshwa rule, Ganesh Chaturthi remained a family affair in Maharashtra from the period of 1818 to 1892.
1857 was a landmark year for India and moreso in the context of Indian freedom. It was the year of Sepoy Mutiny, an armed rebellion against the ruling British Empire by the Indian soldiers. This was the first war that India waged to gain back her independence from her white rulers. Though unsuccessful, this battle marked the beginning of the Indian struggle for independence. Many orators, leaders and freedom fighters all over India teamed to put up a united resistance to the British domination. One of these eminent leaders was Bal Gangadhar Tilak, an Indian nationalist, social reformer and freedom fighter. Greatly esteemed by the Indian people, especially of Maharashtra, Tilak was commonly referred to as "Lokmanya" or "he who is regarded by the people". It was Tilak, who brought back the tradition of Ganesh Chaturthi and reshaped the annual Ganesh festival from private family celebrations into a grand public event.
Dagadusheth Halwai Ganapati (Pune)
Lokamanya saw how Lord Ganesha was worshipped by the upper stratum as well as the rank and file of India. The visionary that he was, Tilak realized the cultural importance of this deity and popularised Ganesha Chaturthi as a National Festival "to bridge the gap between the Brahmins and the non-Brahmins and find an appropriate context in which to build a new grassroots unity between them" in his nationalistic strivings against the British in Maharashtra. He knew that India couldn't fight her rulers until she solved the differences within her own. Hence, to unite all social classes Tilak chose Ganesha as a rallying point for Indian protest against British rule because of his wide appeal as "the god for Everyman".
It was around 1893, during the nascent stages of Indian nationalism, that Tilak began to organize the Ganesh Utsav as a social and religious function. He was the first to put in large public images of Ganesha in pavilions and establish the tradition of their immersion on the tenth day. The festival facilitated community participation and involvement in the form of learned discourses, dance dramas, poetry recital, musical concerts, debates, etc. It served as a meeting place for common people of all castes and communities, at a time when all social and political gatherings were forbidden by the British Empire for fear of conspiracies to be hatched against them. An important festival during the Peshwa era, Ganesha Chaturthi acquired at this time a more organized form all over India largely due to Lokmanya's efforts.
Since then, Ganesh Chaturthi has been celebrated throughout Maharashtra as also in other states with great community enthusiasm and participation. With the independence of India in 1947, it was proclaimed to be a national festival.
My view about these festivals.
For me these festivals are part of our lives but the real motive of this festival has lost somewhere. There real intensions where to bring the people on one platform. As India been a spiritual society, there is a preference for religion so people come together easily. By coming together, they are supposed to share their views and discuss the real issue.
Large crowd for Ganesha immersion
What we see in there festival is people gathering in large numbers to see the decorations. The real motive of these festival was never been that. It has really become the instrument of cheap entertainment. When the festival was started at that time, the population wasn't an issue but now days it has been a real concern. Millions of people visiting to particular pandals and for what to pray. There are these politicians who spend their money collected by unethical or corrupt means. We see more pictures of these modern gods than the real god. They have exploited this festival for their individual gains.
For these gatherings also Lord Ganesha has set a great lesson by "Encircling Mother and father as they are the manifest universe". This shows the importance of parents in once lives. This story also shows that we are not giving the importance to people which are real important. Instead of wasting our time visiting these pandals we should thank to our parent by taking their care.  If we are hurting our parents and seeking the blessing of Ganesha, then it’s of no use.
All above text is to remind us all that, we are not doing the things we are supposed to do. The real motives of these festivals have been lost. These seen we will again see in the नवरात्रि festivals but we are a lost society. We have stopped asking the really questions and doing things for just an entertainment. It’s really a shame that the great teaching of our Lord Ganesha have been forgotten by the very own people who queue up for his  दर्शन so.....

Janlokpal Bill - This is just a battle, war is still ahead

5:55 AM Posted by iSachin 1 comment
Where are we going with Anna’s Fast.
As I had said in my "Anna Hazare - Fight for Janlokpal Bill" blogs , I emphasized on the “coming on the streets” for this fight against corruption. In my view it is the single biggest threat to our country. Corruption has the power of destroying many families and far reaching impact on the society even bigger than “Terrorism”. In my previous blogs I have talked about the “Financial Terrorism”, where lakhs are people are getting killed due to lack of facilities which are there but do not reach to them due to corruption. Enough of the summary of my previous blogs not need to go to actual topic and that is “Fight against Corruption lead by Anna Hazare”.

We all have seen the impact of the revolution on the TV which I expressed in Egyptian Revolution blog. Many people were thinking of doing that in our country. I myself have been fed up with this menace. Like me there are millions or billions Indians who were wanted to something but didn’t knew how to do it.

There were many who wanted to have such a revolution in our country but I always been the sceptical about it as there conditions and ours are completely different. Many people are comparing this struggle with the struggle of Egyptians. In my view there is absolutely no comparison between two fights. On the contrary there are very different. The Egyptians fight was for their basic rights and a dictator but for us the fight is against corrupt politicians and the system which allows that to happen. In that revolution nearly 1000 people’s got killed but Indian has the experience of doing it in non-violent way.

Modern day Gandhian
It’s really heartening to see the large amount of crowds on the streets. I myself have not visited any group but watching on the TV and trying to contribute in my own way. Everyone is doing that, this time on Anashan there is lot more awareness compare to previous. This gathering is not spontaneous, we had similar gathering when we won the world cup. There were youngsters on the streets to enjoy the victory. Everyone on the net itching to fight against the Corruption but they didn’t knew the way.

Whatever has been achieved till now is not just because of Anna’s fasting but the support he has got from the youngster. For me any struggle fought on the street is done by youth only. There are few reasons for that, as youngster we don’t think too much. I mean we don’t go into the details. We always bothered about the end result. After all it’s all about their future; if they don’t act now then they won’t be able to see the India as super power India.

Latest news which I saw on the TV is that there is now new group who is also saying that government should reject both the existing versions and select there instead. This could be tactic from the government also by dividing the whole Civil Society movement. We now should not fall trap to these fake Civil Societies. It’s time to put all the weight behind the Anna’s Team. Anna’s Team has surely shown that what can happen if a group of people can do if they stick together. It was god grace that they got the support of biggest civil activist and gandhian but it’s their sheer hard work that has propelled this movement this far.

Anna hazare with massive supporters
Everyone later realised that it’s not the support on the internet which is going to be crucial but actual support on the ground i.e. on the roads. It’s really good to see that people are dancing, cheering for their future. They have a hope in their eyes that Anna will surely remove the cancer of corruption from the society.

This is really an unusual time where the bill which should be passed by the legislators has been drafted by the civil society. I don’t recall if this has happened in my life time but in desperate times we need to take the desperate measures. I hope this is just a one of things because these darnas and anashan’s are not good for the society. There is a system in the place, however flawed it is.

Role of media is been very crucial in all this as Media really has contributed in this in a big way. It this media whom we criticize for rubbish news has contributed constructively. If they hadn’t been there then we would have not been able to instigate so many people’s emotions.

There is also one facet to this revolution or “Gatherings”. I don’t call this a revolution as there are many things which are needs to be done but it’s a good start. Many must have thinking about they have achieved the victory but in my view this the just the start of the battle. We haven’t even won the battle and there is still a big war to be fought. There is absolutely no room to complacency because this complacency has brought us to this stage.

As always let me end this blog on positive note saying that "We should not loose our focus from the real issue and that is corruption.". This bill is every important in that context, with that this protest has to be a non-violent one otherwise it would loose its actual goal. That goal is achieving a big change in current environment with means of "Gandhi".

Beauty is Happiness

9:33 AM Posted by iSachin No comments

I was going through one of the post written on this subject. That person had written the exact same start for the blog which I was about to write. Was that obvious or do I see the beauty of the co-incidence in it. I guess not but whats the point of thinking beauty of the co-incidence. There is one cause this blog is on the beauty and we need something to start with...ha ha ha ..

In my view the beauty is after effect of the chemical reaction in the brain. This is a very cruel way to looking at it or not. See whenever there is a statement or situation there are always 2 sides to it. Some people will see the beauty of the contradiction in it. Some people don't but Does it really matter?. May be 'NO' but we need this beauty in the contraction for this blog so lets chew on it for some time..ha ha ha.

Again I am going to share a story lets see..what one beautiful thing you find out from this..
Its a real nice story...read it...

Young King Arthur was ambushed and imprisoned by the monarch of a neighboring kingdom. The monarch could have killed him but was moved by Arthur's youth and ideals.
So, the monarch offered him his freedom, as long as he could answer a very difficult question. Arthur would have a year to figure out the answer and, If after a year, he still had no answer, he would be put to death.

The question was: What do women really want?

Such a question would perplex even the most knowledgeable man, And to young Arthur, it seemed an impossible query.
But, since it was better than death, He accepted the monarch's proposition to have an answer by year's end.

He returned to his kingdom and began to poll everyone:
The princess, the priests, the wise men, and even the court jester.
He spoke with everyone, but no one could give him a satisfactory answer.
Many people advised him to consult the old witch,
For only she would have the answer.
But the price would be high as the witch was famous throughout the kingdom for the exorbitant prices she charged.

The last day of the year arrived and Arthur had no choice but to talk to the witch.

She agreed to answer the question, but he would have to agree to her price first.

The old witch wanted to marry Sir Lancelot, The most noble of the Knights of the Round Table, And Arthur's closest friend!

Young Arthur was horrified.
She was hunch-backed and hideous, had only one tooth, Smelled like sewage, made obscene noises, etc. He had never encountered such a repugnant creature in all his life.

He refused to force his friend to marry her and endure such a terrible burden, But Lancelot, having learnt of the proposal, spoke with Arthur.
He said nothing was too big of a sacrifice compared to Arthur's life. And the preservation of the Round Table.

Hence, a wedding was proclaimed and the witch answered. Arthur's question thus: "What a woman really wants?"

She said, "Is to be in charge of her own life."

Everyone in the kingdom instantly knew that the witch had uttered a great truth. And that Arthur's life would be spared.
And so it was.

The neighboring monarch granted Arthur his freedom. And Lancelot and the witch had a wonderful wedding.

The honeymoon hour approached and, Lancelot, steeling himself for a horrific experience, entered the bedroom. But, what a sight awaited him.
The most beautiful woman he had ever seen lay before him on the bed.
The astounded Lancelot asked what had happened.
The beauty replied that since he had been so kind to her when she appeared as a witch, She would henceforth be her horrible and deformed self only half the time.

And the beautiful maiden the other half.
"Which would you prefer? She asked him. "Beautiful during the day ... or at night?"

Lancelot pondered the predicament.
During the day he could have a beautiful woman to show off to his friends,
But at night, in the privacy of his castle, an old witch!
Or,
Would he prefer having a hideous witch during the day?
But by night a beautiful woman for him to enjoy wondrous, intimate moments with?

(If you are a man reading this...) What would YOUR choice be?
(If you are a woman reading this?) What would YOUR MAN'S choice be?
What Lancelot chose, will be told to after you resolve this....
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Noble Lancelot, knowing the answer the witch gave Arthur to his question,
He said that he would allow HER to make the choice herself.
Upon hearing this, she announced that she would be beautiful all the time.
Because, he had respected her enough to let her be in charge of her own life.

Now... the most interesting Part....  what is the moral to this story?

The moral is...
1) There is witch in every woman no matter how beautiful she is!
2) If you don't let a woman have her own way, things are going to get ugly.

So, always remember:
IT'S EITHER "HER WAY" OR IT'S "NO WAY" !!!
You have seen the moral of the story but in my view that story teaches us that beauty lies in the mind of the watcher. Until and unless that person is beautiful in his or her heart, that person will never able to see the beauty around.

I don't know whether I have strayed away form the main topic. This may not be the best peace of the blog in this contest but Does is matter?...Again the same question. I guess not because beauty of this is that I am just happy about being part of this contest. So being part of something is also a beautiful facet of this life.

Now I have to conclude it, that the beauty of the writing your own blog. You dont need to ask the permission to end it and you can conclude anything. At end of the day the things which give you happiness, we find beautiful. You will never be unhappy after finding the beauty so my conclusion is

Is Indian youth serious about fight against corruption?

6:06 AM Posted by iSachin 2 comments
Its good to be back after very big break of two months. For last few months, the most consistent thing I have done is inconsistency in witting the blogs..ha ha ha. I always wanted to write about the different subjects,  touching our daily lives. Many of you, who gone through my blogs must have noticed that fact. Verity in the subject of blogs is what I was aspiring for but thanks to our politicians I am back on the same subject i.e. CORRUPTION.

Do I have any choice? I think no..:(

I have been very critical of this subject as I think corruption is the biggest threat to India. Far far bigger than the actual terrorism. We can vouch that there are far lesser terrorist of Indian origin. If compared to our population we had very few people involved in it. But if you look at the financial terrorism there is no dearth of talent in our country. You go every nook and corner of this country and you will find one or the other form of corruption.

Events in last few days has galvanized the whole country, especially the youth. The fight started by Anna Hazare was looked like on track. There were few arrest in the CWG and 2G spectrum scam. They were only tip of the iceberg but in the country where no politician went to jail for corruption, that was good start but the events happened in the Baba Ramdev's Satyagrah has shocked the nation. There is  reason behind it and that's what I am going to talk about.

Let me put the things in perspective the events leading to till date. We as a youth have been talking about the fight against the corruption but no one came forward. In fact nobody wants to fight and wants somebody else should do that for them. Many of us are using social media for many years but only came to know about its power when Revolution in Egypt Happened. Then came an old man who stood for every one, he is been fighting the war against corruption  politicians in most corruption state in the world i.e.Maharashtra for very long. We all breathed a sign of relief, we got someone to lead our fight or fight for us. We all were very happy.

Only after that the interested thing happened, we wont the world cup. We celebrated on the street like we have won a world war. It was day of joy so I am not against it but there was a fight going on in Delhi nobody came on the street for that. If we had done that only for single day. But we chose simplest way and i.e. Networking site. Sending the request to join the groups, sharing articles, sending sms's and lighting up candles.

We celebrated on the street when we were happy for one day. Where was that same youth when they were actually needed on the street for fighting corruption. We will never go on street because we are not that bothered. Has anybody thought what corruption we are talking about, let me tell the concern of the youth. They are only concerned about the the tax they have been paying is getting robbed and nothing else. If they were that concern then why didn't they come to street?

We really want to make the difference then we need to come out of this cyber world into real world. We did to stop lying to ourselves that we are not affected by it. If we think that we are getting affected by it then we need to take step to stop it. I think most of the youth in our country has got romanticised by the idea of being part of the revolution. Sharing articles or groups is no revolution it is just mean of communication the real battle will be fought on the street.

By seeing the governments approach from last few days it looks like they are ready for the big battle. Some of the expert are calling it as kind of emergency. In my view we are in the state of emergency for last few years so we should stop lying to ourselves.

In my previous blogs I tried to explain in Kalyug Blog, why we are so careless or unethical about corruption. I made fun of corruption in Legally Corrupt blog. If you look closely everything bad happening around us is actually some way or the other related to corruption. No one can win the battle sitting on the computer. We as youth of this nation needs to make our presence felt by coming on the street because
Its now or never....

Anna Hazare - Fight for Jan Lokpal Bill by Modern Day Gandhian

10:35 AM Posted by iSachin 2 comments
Its been a quite hectic month where we enjoyed every bit of it. Icing on the case was the win of the Team India in the Finals. We all celebrated it like anything, It was the moment we all waited for so many years. I was relieved by one thing that I wont need to see those 1983 winning pictures, I am sure many of you must have felt the same. It was the day in our life where we wanted to celebrate, be it a friend or a stranger. We all were shouting for India, the Team India. It was once in life time moment and Thank God we experience it.

Many of you or some of you must have thought that this is another blog for world cup. Actually wanted to write about the win but there is more important is happening now in our nation. We are done with the celebrations, now we need to concentrate on problem at hand. I think its the world cup celebrations which must have prompted the social activist to go ahead with this movement.

The passion we all shown on the street, we need to show it now. Anna Hazare is the flag bearer of this movement. He has fought with these people all his life so rest assure that we have a right person leading this movement. I have know this person for many years, I always boast about the fact that we hail from same district as mine 'Ahmednagar' [and Zaheer Khan :)]. He was the fore front of the movement for Right To Information. If its not been his efforts we would not had this act implemented.

Even I also know very little about the person who is the most important person in India right now. As usual I googled some information so lets get so more knowledge about the man of the moment.

Anna Hazare is one of India's well-acclaimed social activists. A former soldier in the Indian army, Anna is well known and respected for upgrading the ecology and economy of the village of Ralegan Siddhi which is located in the drought prone Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra state. The erstwhile barren village has metamorphosed into a unique model of rural development due to its effective water conservation methods, which made the villagers self-sufficient. Earlier, the same village witnessed alcoholism, utter poverty and migration to urban slums.

Inspired by Hazare’s unique approach of salvaging a hopeless village, the state government has implemented the `Model Village’ scheme as part of its official strategy. Hazare is now synonymous with rural development in India.

Its because of his effort that act like RTI came to existing, he has fought many such battles in most corrupt state in India obviously Maharashtra. Its because of these corrupt politicians we have lagged behind other states. It the person like anna hazare who is continuously fighting the battle against corrupt people.

I am really amazed by the recent activity, truly it is unique to India. When I wrote my last blog about Egyptian Revolution 2.0, I was thinking of such a revolution 5 years down the line. Even though there is no similarity between these two movements. It would be foolish to compare Manmohan Singh to Hosni Mubarak. He even cannot dictate to his own misters, dictating the nation is

Many of might think that we have the law like 'Right To Information' then "Why do we need another law?". It straight forward answer, RTI can be used to unearth the Scams by getting information. It this act who has brought so many scam in public notice. The problem with these noticed scam was that there was not a law who will make sure that the trial will happen speedily. As in most of the previous scams those politicians or bureaucrats either got retired or died but no one got the punishment.

We need this Jan th Lokpan Bill which will sure insure the speedy trial and punishment. We must have this tough law against these corrupt people. Following are some of the links by which you can be part of this movement.

Its a now or never time for the India. We are developing at the rate of 7-8%, which for some would see very high. If you look at the potential of India, it can exceed any number ever 12-15% growth is possible if we consider. I am firm believer in the History, it has the habit of repeating itself. History of India has show that once our nation was the richest nation in the world. Its in our had to make sure that we make our country, the richest country in the world.

For this to happen we got to do away with this corrupt politicians. I am also believer that these politicians are the impression of the society at large. We have seen enough, this time it has to over. We Indians are very passionate and forgiving people. We have moved on our journey to the greatness but I think the biggest obstacles of that journey will be corruption. In my previous blogs I have been very critical of this subject. I have always emphasized on the impact of the corruption in our daily lives. This menace has deprived India to it rightful place in the World.

I heard one of the congress spokesman saying that "Anna should not put the gun to the Governments Head". I think he forgot that there was a person in him party who used weapon of "Satyagrah" to fight British. If they don't do it now then I am afraid his words may come true, as week know what is happening in the Tribal Area's. Those people didn't had the means of laws to fight against Government so they picked up weapons. I think government should not force us to emulate the poor tribal's of this country.

Lets not overlook now because Its now or never time of our live. If we don't make a difference now it would be too late in the future. I had this feeling of helplessness for too long, Anna has shown us the way to look forward to better future. Lets help him to help us to realized our dream of country where there is no corruption. This time we need to come together and convey the message loud and clear

Lanka Dahan in Ram Nagari - India vs Sri Lanka

12:57 AM Posted by iSachin 2 comments
Wait is over now, as India has reached to the finals of the Cricket World Cup 2011. Our generation specially has waited this moment for 8 years. Last time when we were in the finals was in 2003, in South Africa.  Everybody wants to forget that game where Zaheer Khan started the bowling and Ricky Ponting's beating of Indian bowling. Those memories are still fresh in the minds of Indians, they were very happy till the first ball  was bowled.

Not to forget the embarrassing loss to Lankans in the semifinals of 1996 world cup, where we couldn't even finish the match. Everyone know how it helped to finished the carrier of Vinod Kambi, who cried like a child whose mom is lost. It took a while to forget that loss; it was the same Lankans who defeated us in semifinals at mecca of Indian Cricket, Eden Gardens. Both the times India defeated Pakistan, this time also no different scenario, but the only difference is that, the occasion is big. This is final of the World Cup and India is asking another revenge for that Kolkata Loss.

I always wondered which is the team who plays with the aggression against India??. Strangely enough the name which comes to my mind is SRI LANKA. This island nation with population of 20 million people has produced some of the most unusual and natural talent. Even if we don't take the match against them seriously, they have been very competitive against us. May be because of the history, many of them must still think that LTTE was supported by India. So there is no love lost between Indian's and Sri Lankan's. Historically these small nations jealous of big nation for obvious reasons and this mentality has crippled into the cricketers. People sometimes jokingly say that; when u ask for map of India, you get the map of Sri Lanka free. ha ha ha…

There were lots of skeptics who were rooting for India's ouster from the world cup. They had their reason about the weak bowling performance of the India. As tournament progressed Indian team has proved that, their bowling is not as weak as it made out to be. Bowling was looking weak due to pathetic fielding but once it got improved out bowling also look well. They are peaking at right time, it is the field how exerts pressure on the batsmen to make mistake so its combination which needs to work. It seems that, it’s working in our favor. So it’s been a big slap on the face of the skeptics who were hedging their bets against India.

Sri lankan Team was in the same group as the Pakistan and had very easy outing in the league rounds. In quarter and semi's also they faced the teams which were not good at playing spin hence got collapsed. There top 4 batsmen had feat of runs where they used the slow and low condition of the local pitches to their potential. Sri Lanka has always been considered as the best team at home condition.

Their top 4 batsmen are in form of their life. Everyone has crossed 300+ runs, bowling looks good with Murali leading the way. There are always been the best fielding side supporting there bowling. In all, Sri Lankan team looks good but, if you have a close look, there is one problem. Their lower middle order hasn't had too much to bat. Now with the injury of the Angelo Mathews, it looks more vulnerable. Murali, even though he is saying that, he is 100% fit, he is lying.

What I mean to say is; they have good team but not as good as team Indian. We should not let their team to play the injured player like Murali. Many will say that "whats the harm in playing Murali". I would say "It is against rule to play the murali and against spirit of the game". Talking about spirit of the game, these Islanders never played game in the true spirit.

Not to forget the incident of Suraj Randiv who deliberately bowled a NO ball to deny Virendra Sehwag a well deserved Hundred. All the blame was later put on to poor bowler who only listened to the seniors like Dilshan and Jayawardane. We are very forgiving but these small countries make use of that soft heart. We have to be ruthless and show these lankan's theire true place.

They are confident that, they can easily beat 'Men in Blue'. We could see that attitude in their eyes. I think it’s time to take the revenge of the loss of 1996 semi finals. These Lankan look very soft spoken and sweet but I am damn sure that they will show their true colors when they celebrate.

If you think of Team India, I am bit relaxed and it is quite unusual feeling. Our team is in World cup finals and I am not that worried. May be that, I lost all the feeling or drained the emotions for Pakistan match. Really I am lot relaxed about this match. There could be this reason that we have played Lankans many a times and have beaten them in their own backyard.

This team is peaking at right time; we have fantastic openers who have no comparison in the world. We do have excellent bowlers as well, because of whom we are number one test team and will be best one day team too. They look less glamorous against our batting line up but they are good. We have top 7, most destructible batsmen in the world and cool captain like MAHI, the one who can lead the team of such extraordinary talented people.

Not to forget the great man "Sachin Tendulkar", who has the dream of winning the world cup for India. This person always reminds all of us that, this is remaining for him and that is winning a world up. I never ever thought that India will reach the finals and will be so close to winning. It’s the dream of the little master and he taught that to many of the Indians. This great thinking of Sachin has catapulted him into the greatness.

Its time for burning the dreams of these Lankan, they have come to ram nagari (mumbai), where “Ram” (Sachin) is waiting with his “Vanar Sena” (Team India). Last time Ram and his Sena had to travel to Lanka but it’s kalyug and these Lankans have come to get themselves 'Dahan'. ha ha ha ha.. History Awaits us, so

BEST OF LUCK, TEAM INDIA!!!!

Bleed Green - India vs. Pakistan

11:21 PM Posted by iSachin 4 comments
Many of the experts in the world or our leaders have emphasized on this that "Our two countries shared the same destiny". Its there destinies have brought them against each other. As I wrote in my previous blog that Pakistanis had there revenge against Australian's. We took ours by knocking them out of the world cup. Both the countries had there revenges, which again adds to there incredible journey. Not to forget the humiliating exit from the 2007 world cup where both the teams knocked out of the world cup in span of 1-2 days.

Its really ironic that the teams who were considered to be the starters or new comers to the T20 game reached the finals of the inaugural edition of T20 world cup. They produced some pulsating cricket where they played with the pride and produced pulsating finishes. But this blog is for ODI cricket so we wont touch the T20 format now. I had to write this because it was the memorable moments for our generation as many of us have not seen the victory of 1983 world cup.

Its been a incredible journey of 2 teams where India was considered to be favorites and Pakistan wan't. Both teams had different approach or experiences in the games previous to this encounter. Pakistan had very easy games till now where in one of the game they got a humiliating loss against Kiwi's. I cannot say this in case of India, in fact they were in the tough group and hand to battle there way out of the first round. They had to wait for the loss of Bangladeshi's against SA. But any how both teams cleared first round.

In Quarter Finals each team had completely different experience where on one side Pakistan won the match pretty easily. They won like a champion side which bulldozed there way to semi's over WI. In that match I was expecting bit of fight from WI but you all know what happened. Where in case of India, we had toughest match in the tournament. Australia put forth the tricky target of 260 on a pitch where we lost more game than we won. It was the 3 times man of the match who helped team Blue to ecape the Quarter Final Blues.ha ha..

This Quarter final matches have given a very wrong impression to Pakistani people that there team can win. I mean the team who was in the easy group had only one tough match or nothing at all. They had only 5 tough overs against the Kiwi's and in that too they faltered. Pakistan semifinal match also raised the expectation of the teams performance by hapless west indian's (God know how much more they will fall).

In case of India, we were in tough group, which was bit dramatized by the unpredictable England. This England was different from old where they either only used to loose the matches. This changed the the scenario of the group B. We had to win the last match to go through the Quarter Final and it took last match of the league. Even after qualifying to the Quarters, mighty Australians were waiting for us. They gave a very good fight, the fight we expect in the Quarter Finals unlike Pakistanis who had very easy game.

The Pakistani greats are harping on the fact that they are superior bowling side, I don't know to against which batting side's performance they are comparing. Wickets taken against the Canada, Kenya and Zimbabwe or for that matter NZ are going to be yardstick then India's state teams will be having the superior attack like Pakistan.

These encounter have been the end point of many cricketers carriours. Many pakistani greats got retired after experiencing the lows in these matches like Javed Miandad, Moin Khan, Saeed Anwar, Ameer Sohail etc..now its time to retire Yunis khan and Misbaah. Not to forget the Shoaib Akhtar who was always been the threat to the team India.

I came to know the similar gesture by our PM Manmonhan Singh when he invited Parvez Musharraf to watch the match. That match India lost but this time will be different. This Pakistani team is no match to team India so they should stop day dreaming. This encounter will be one sided.

Pakistan is a depressed nation right now who loves to live in denials. They will fight to tooth and nail to deny that India is a superior side, let them have some good moments because come wednesday they will cry there eyes out..ha ha ha...

Best of Luck Team India
