Is Indian youth serious about fight against corruption?

Its good to be back after very big break of two months. For last few months, the most consistent thing I have done is inconsistency in witting the blogs..ha ha ha. I always wanted to write about the different subjects,  touching our daily lives. Many of you, who gone through my blogs must have noticed that fact. Verity in the subject of blogs is what I was aspiring for but thanks to our politicians I am back on the same subject i.e. CORRUPTION.

Do I have any choice? I think no..:(

I have been very critical of this subject as I think corruption is the biggest threat to India. Far far bigger than the actual terrorism. We can vouch that there are far lesser terrorist of Indian origin. If compared to our population we had very few people involved in it. But if you look at the financial terrorism there is no dearth of talent in our country. You go every nook and corner of this country and you will find one or the other form of corruption.

Events in last few days has galvanized the whole country, especially the youth. The fight started by Anna Hazare was looked like on track. There were few arrest in the CWG and 2G spectrum scam. They were only tip of the iceberg but in the country where no politician went to jail for corruption, that was good start but the events happened in the Baba Ramdev's Satyagrah has shocked the nation. There is  reason behind it and that's what I am going to talk about.

Let me put the things in perspective the events leading to till date. We as a youth have been talking about the fight against the corruption but no one came forward. In fact nobody wants to fight and wants somebody else should do that for them. Many of us are using social media for many years but only came to know about its power when Revolution in Egypt Happened. Then came an old man who stood for every one, he is been fighting the war against corruption  politicians in most corruption state in the world i.e.Maharashtra for very long. We all breathed a sign of relief, we got someone to lead our fight or fight for us. We all were very happy.

Only after that the interested thing happened, we wont the world cup. We celebrated on the street like we have won a world war. It was day of joy so I am not against it but there was a fight going on in Delhi nobody came on the street for that. If we had done that only for single day. But we chose simplest way and i.e. Networking site. Sending the request to join the groups, sharing articles, sending sms's and lighting up candles.

We celebrated on the street when we were happy for one day. Where was that same youth when they were actually needed on the street for fighting corruption. We will never go on street because we are not that bothered. Has anybody thought what corruption we are talking about, let me tell the concern of the youth. They are only concerned about the the tax they have been paying is getting robbed and nothing else. If they were that concern then why didn't they come to street?

We really want to make the difference then we need to come out of this cyber world into real world. We did to stop lying to ourselves that we are not affected by it. If we think that we are getting affected by it then we need to take step to stop it. I think most of the youth in our country has got romanticised by the idea of being part of the revolution. Sharing articles or groups is no revolution it is just mean of communication the real battle will be fought on the street.

By seeing the governments approach from last few days it looks like they are ready for the big battle. Some of the expert are calling it as kind of emergency. In my view we are in the state of emergency for last few years so we should stop lying to ourselves.

In my previous blogs I tried to explain in Kalyug Blog, why we are so careless or unethical about corruption. I made fun of corruption in Legally Corrupt blog. If you look closely everything bad happening around us is actually some way or the other related to corruption. No one can win the battle sitting on the computer. We as youth of this nation needs to make our presence felt by coming on the street because
Its now or never....
